The TVP 4K channel is available on the experimental multiplex of Telewizja Polska in DVB-T2/HEVC . The channel's signal appeared on digital terrestrial television two days earlier, so that viewers had time to fine-tune their receivers and possibly upgrade their equipment or antenna installation. TVP 4K occupies position 36 in LCN . To free up space for the TVP 4K channel, copies of the following channels were temporarily removed from the multiplex: TVP1, TVP2 and TVP Info, also available in MUX 3. Currently, the TVP 4K video bitrate is 20 Mbit/s .

TVP 4K is present in the DVB-T2 MUX with three soundtracks:
4003 E-AC3 (pol)
4004 E-AC3 (original)
4009 AC4 consisting of 4 mixes:
- Commentator TVP (pol)
- Audio description (pol)
- Commentator English (eng)
- Without Commentator (pol)

Thus, people with devices that properly support AC4 will have access to as many as six audio tracks .

The current broadcast parameters of TVP 4K (and thus the other channels available in the test TVP multiplex, i.e. TVP Dokument, TVP Nauka, TVP Polonia, TVP Rozrywka, TVP World - all in HD) can be checked on Emitel 's website at this link . These parameters vary by location. For example, for Warsaw it is k. 48 (690 MHz), and for Kraków k. 25 (506 MHz).

TVP 4K would end broadcasting at the end of 2022 - after the closing of the 2022 World Cup, it would broadcast replays of matches.
